Company
Balancing and vibration analysis since 1946
Founded in 1946 by engineer Luigi Buzzi, CEMB S.p.A. was established with the aim of developing state-of-the-art solutions in the field of balancing machines and vibration analysis. Since its early years, the company has stood out for its technical capabilities, constant innovation and product quality, quickly establishing itself as a reference in the field both nationally and internationally. Over the decades, thanks to the expansion of research and development activities and the continuous evolution of production technologies, CEMB has expanded its range of solutions, always keeping faith with the tradition of Italian excellence and the centrality of customers’ needs.
A company, an entrepreneur
In 1946, Eng. Luigi Buzzi designs the first balancing machine: an avant-garde solution, covered by patent. In 1952 he starts the production of balancing systems for vehicle wheels and in 1954 the construction of balancing machines with an electrodynamic wattmetric system, still considered among the most reliable.
In 1960 he promotes the establishment of a new research and development department in the emerging field of electronics: the immediate result is the application of new technologies to traditional systems and super control equipment intended for large power generation plants. In 1969 he started the production of rigid media machines, which opened up new horizons of development.
1946
Since its construction in 1946 by engineer Luigi Buzzi, CEMB highlights the characteristics that would soon enable it to gain a leading role in the production of balancing machines.
Ability to place oneself in tune with the needs of the customer and the market, competence in proposing original and innovative technical solutions, and seriousness in directing organizational structures and production processes toward a single goal: maximum product quality.
Innovation in continuity
Over time, organizational and management activities expanded, but Luigi Buzzi never gave up his main passion: direct involvement in projects and the development of new solutions.
An engineering graduate from Milan Polytechnic, Carlo Buzzi joined his father’s company in 1977, on the threshold of the information technology revolution destined to profoundly change production and management processes. Working alongside his father in running the company, Eng. Carlo Buzzi gave impetus to new projects based on the latest digital technologies.
Today, he still personally oversees the development of new products and the study of new technologies.
Production
Over the years, CEMB has perfected and enhanced its production technique to become a model of excellence: by combining the latest lean manufacturing techniques with attention to detail and staff expertise, CEMB is able to offer products with extraordinary quality and durability.
Striving for continuous improvement, process optimization and defining value from the customer’s point of view are just some of the guidelines that accompany the realization of each product.
The design
Anticipate market needs, propose original and innovative technical solutions, and seek the highest product quality. To achieve these goals, CEMB invests a large percentage of its turnover in research and design, creating over time a technical staff of high professionalism and experience.
With the help of the most modern design software, CEMB technicians follow each new project step by step: from the analysis of the characteristics to the definition of the specifications, from the realization of the prototype to the functionality tests. A test booth can reproduce all the pressure, temperature, humidity and ionization levels existing on earth: new machines can thus be tested under real operating conditions.
