EMS SONAR

The EMS Sonar (Eccentricity Measurement Systems) has revolutionized wheel balancing since 1988, when CEMB first introduced it on their balancing machines. Thanks to the precision of the sonar sensors used, EMS Sonar is capable of detecting even the slightest irregularities or eccentricities in wheel rotation.

The sensor is connected to the balancing machine and positioned near the wheel, detecting any irregularities or eccentricities in its rotation. The device utilizes precise sonar sensors to measure the distance between the wheel’s center and outer edges during rotation. These measurements determine the wheel’s eccentricity, which is the deviation of its geometric center from the true rotational axis. By analyzing the data collected by the device, the machine provides accurate information about the extent of the wheel’s eccentricity. This information is essential for identifying and correcting any irregularities in the wheel, ensuring a smooth and safe ride.
